What you do is knock a bunch of enemies in the air, and then either mash the D-Pad or spin the analog stick in order to get your combo up. Any of the directions work, which is very useful. What you have to do for air hits is knock your enemies in the air and then either use the left joystick or the D-Pad to damage them. Using this I was able to hit 15 before the fairy even got to my head. If you do it fast, the fairy will barely move. Now hover over your X and either Square or Circle buttons for whichever it is, and quickly go X > Square/Circle > Options. So here's what I did: Go into Settings > Accessibility > Button layout.
I tried using the typical pausing cheese, but I wasn't even fast enough there. I simply couldn't hit 15 in one go, hence me being a baddie. This one easily gave me the most trouble, I just got it now, and it was a massive pain in the butt. Figured others may have problems too, so I'd go over how I got the difficult trophies.
So I had some trouble with this plat, and I used some workarounds to get it.
